Lapland is region who stretches across Finland, Sweden, Norway and Russia. Sami people are inhabitants of Lapland called Lapp people. Largely Lapland lies on the north side of the Arctic Circle. Lapland has mountains on the west, great rivers on Swedish side and on the northeast is low plateau with a lot of lakes and marshes. It`s not surprise that Lapland comes really lovely place especially during Christmas time. And if you don`t know this placeis true home of our well known Santa Claus. Everyone on the Earth knows Santa Claus known by other names like: Father Christmas, Kris Kringle, Saint Nicholas or simply Santa. He is the loveliest Christmas man with black leather boots and belt, white-cuffed red trousers, wearing a red coat with white cuffs and collar.

Everybody likes this lovely, portly, joyous white bearded man. Santa is everywhere in Lapland. In every fairy lit village and secret grottoes where elves turn out cookies in the workshops. Resorts in Lapland are running from modern towns to sleepy settlements. The biggest is Rovaniemi and comes with everything from shopping malls, ski slopes to Santa Claus theme parks.
